About Laurie Marum L.Ac., MSW

Laurie Marum is a graduate of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, earning a Masters degree in Acupuncture, is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed in the state of Washington. She is certified as a second degree Reiki practitioner, and is a Energy Medicine Practitioner. She is currently a member of the Washington Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association. Laurie also has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, and a bachelors degree in social welfare from the University of Washington.

Her previous career involved a full-time tenure-track teaching position in the Social Work Department at the University of Alaska Fairbanks; training and consultant services to rural Alaskan communities and counseling services provided in the area of addictions, women's groups and retreats.
